Almhof Schneider

The practice has been working for many years in design collaboration with the owners on the gradual and considered reinvention of this luxurious, five star ski resort hotel in the Austrian mountain village of Lech. This staged project has involved the redesign of existing spaces and the addition of new elements, including public spaces, suites and spa facilities within a traditional building in a sublime alpine setting. The vernacular style of the region has been reinterpreted in a contemporary manner, with a particular emphasis on crafted, natural materials and rustic sophistication.
